Whole Foods Profits Off Lies and Fat-Streaked Meat

A survey of 88 Whole Foods stores exposes the shocking prevalence of white striping in the retailer’s chicken. Recorded evidence from every single Whole Foods store visited reveals white striping disease, which commonly plagues birds bred for unnatural growth.

White striping disease is visible as white lines of fat across chicken meat that have replaced oxygen-deprived muscle tissue, commonly due to rapid growth. Meat products from ultrafast-growing birds often bear these scars. While not harmful to consumers, they are visible proof of the appalling cruelty the animals endure.

Whole Foods continues to sell meat from birds bred to suffer despite their promise to stop by 2024.
